How do I become a member of PYP Westchester?
PYP Westchester membership is extended to women who reside in Westchester County who are committed to collaborating as a connected philanthropic community. If you have been approached by our co-founders we encourage you to attend one of our interest meetings scheduled for Thursday, November 14th, 2024 (AM) and Tuesday, November 19th, 2024 (PM). Membership is annual and will open January 1st – January 31st, 2025 when dues will be collected for the PYP, Westchester 2025 grant cycle.
How much money do I need to donate to become a member of PYP Westchester?
The minimum annual dues in the amount of $1,250 per member is required; however, members may choose to donate more than $1,250 in annual dues. Donating generously to our local community through PYP ensures that your dollars will go to help local non-profits that have been vetted, researched, and collectively approved by our membership. $1100 of your donation goes directly towards the grants and $150 helps to cover our annual expenses. Note that donation amounts will be kept anonymous and each member is only given one vote, regardless of the dues they pay. All donation amounts are tax deductible. We also encourage members to utilize their corporate gift matching where available.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes! Pitch Your Peers is a registered 501(c)(3). All donation amounts (including the $150 contribution for expenses) can be combined and paid with one payment.
